New Custom Square Gift Card Design

Friday, July 30, 2010

Jen Soars contacted me about a week ago about creating some new gift certificates for her photography business. She wanted something simple pulling the beautiful deep purple from her blog and some patterns from my stationery. Here's what we came up with:

Soares Set

I just love that rich deep plum color. I think I'll turn these into some new calling card designs :) She ended up choosing design number 3 and we'll be pairing them with square gray envelopes. Pics to come!

Hip To Be Square?

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Business cards have definitely evolved a lot in the past year or two...no longer are they just used for businessmen and women to be filed away into a Rolodex. Mom's are using them to arrange playdates, bloggers are using them to promote their blogs and other social media outlets, even kids are using them! They're not all white with black or blue text and, here's my favorite part, they're not all rectangular! Here are a few new square
designs that will help your cards stand in the stack.

Hip to be Square

So, what do you think? Would you carry a square card or do you like to stick with the original rectangular shape?

Twine Twine Twine!

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Ok, I already told you how much I love this stuff. Just recently, I won a free twine sample pack (wahoo!!) from The Twinery and I just received my package the other day. :: insert "oh happy day" song here :: I am in love! The colors are so vibrant and the twine is super soft and beautifully constructed. I can't even fathom all of the different ways this material can be used.

New Moving Announcements!

Monday, July 12, 2010

I've finally gotten around to posting a couple of new moving announcements that I created a couple of months ago. I tried to steer clear of the traditional house image with the white picket fence and stretch out with a bit more modern designs. I hope you enjoy them!

One of the things that I love about Twitter is that you are constantly exposed to so many creative and talented women. Good for the pocket book? No. Good for the soul? Yes! Here are a few of my favorite things I've found this week...

Plum Poms

Thursday, July 1, 2010

I think I may just have the best customers ever :) When Jean saw our Blooms shower invitation she knew it was just perfect for the bridal shower she was hosting. When she gave me a list of everything she wanted included with the invitation, I was ecstatic! It is so much fun creating an entire ensemble and I love the color palette she chose.

The brides colors are gray with shades of purple, a fabulous combination. We started with our 5" square invitations and customized them to her colors and worked with a modern block sans-serif font.

We created coordinating pom wrap-around address labels in steel gray to modernize the lavender envelopes and then added a gorgeous custom pom envelope liner to really polish off the look.

She also wanted coordinating thank you cards to gift the bride at the shower. We switched the envelope color from lavender to beet and added a coordinating round return address label.

It was so fun working with you Jean and I can't wait to start working on all of the party decor! Lots more from this shower later!
